Privacy Policy

hermes-drive is a private, personal-use application. It is operated by and for a single person — its owner, Anil Ziberi — and is not offered to or usable by anyone else.

What data the application accesses

With the user's explicit consent, the application requests one Google permission: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. Under this scope it can access only the files it creates itself, or files the user individually opens with the application. It cannot browse, read, or modify the rest of the user's Google Drive.

How that data is used

Solely to carry out tasks the user has asked for on his own machine: creating folders, uploading files the user requested, and reading back or removing files the application itself created. No other use is made of the data.

Storage and retention

The application stores an OAuth refresh token on the user's own computer, in a file readable only by the user's local account, so that it does not need to ask for consent on every run. No Google user data is transmitted to, stored on, or processed by any server controlled by the operator or by any third party. Files remain in the user's own Google Drive under the user's control and Google's terms.

Sharing

No data is sold, shared, transferred, or disclosed to any third party. No advertising, analytics, profiling, or tracking is performed. No data is used to train machine learning models.

Google API Services User Data Policy

The application's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Revoking access

The user can revoke the application's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or by deleting the local token file. Revocation takes effect immediately.
